Once again, the USA and Iran are flirting with war, this time via proxy conflicts in Iraq. This is just the latest in a string of hostile events between the two nations since President Trump unilaterally withdrew from the Iran Nuclear Deal, and is another indicator that Trump's 'maximum pressure' policy on Iran is failing.
Couple this with the recent end of his bromance with Kim, Fox polls having him losing to 5 or 6 Dems, a slim majority of we, da peeps wanting him removed from office, and Rudy G doing his unleveled best to assure they'll both get an unlimited SRO in Florance CO, and there's little wonder why DOTUS has been in such a pissy mood of late.
But besides being the world's numero uno vulgar narcissist, Donal J Ttump is also a master projectionist. In less time than a normal human would take to say one unkind thing about another, Trump can project each of his most despicable and deplorable characteristics onto whoever he preceives to be his current antagonist.
But no matter who that current foe may be,not far behind is Barack Obama.
Though birtherism was the most blatantly racist of all the attacks Trump made on POTUS Obama, underlying all of Trump's attacks was the notion that Obama just wasn't smart enough for the job - another example of Trump's mastery of projection. Trump's constantly consistent attack on the Iran Nuclear Deal as one of the dumbest deals ever was in keeping with Trump's central, underlying racist White supremacists idea that only White MEN are suited to be da boss.
But before he attacked Obama over the Iran Deal, Trump first accused Obama of wanting to start a war with Iran in order to get reelected.
But that tweet wasn't the only time Trump made this claim as, according to Snopes, On multiple occasions Donald Trump tweeted predictions that President Obama would order an attack on Iran:
The full list of Trump’s proffered rationales for an Obama-led attack on Iran eventually encompassed all of the following:
- “to get elected” (i.e., to win re-election)
- “because of his inability to negotiate properly”
- “to show how tough he is”
- “to boost his poll numbers”
- “to save face”
Now, I don't know about you, but those 5 "rationales" Trump gave for why Obama would start a war with Iran has me thinking about when Michael Moore said that Donald Trump could be America's last elected president.
Unfortunately, prophet Moore has max cred when it comes to Trump, having predicted, in 2016, Trump's path to victory exactly right.
Maybe what Moore meant was that Trump would be the last American president elected by a minority of the electorate. Twice in the previous 5 Presidentials is two times too many for me - especially considering the 2 outcomes.
In the meantime, let's enjoy China, Russia and Iran holding joint naval drills in Gulf of Oman, because it's always good to see nations working together to make the world a better place...
